Evening Only:
3 rounds for max reps of:
1 minute of Overhead Squats, 115#/77#
1 minute of Box Jumps, 20 inch box
1 minute of Pull ups, chest to bar
1 minute rest
Did this with Libby and Jake this afternoon: 159 total reps Rx'd
OHS: 20,17,18 Box jumps: 30,27,26 CTB: 9,6,6
OHS were probably the best they've ever felt and I could keep a pretty good pace throughout. I never had to set the bar down though I did pause once each round to reset myself a bit.
I had to find my legs the first couple jumps of each round of box jumps as the quads were feeling it.
CTB is what I expected; I did sets of 3 and rested a lot which was stupid considering the rest is right after these.
Thanks Pete for videotaping the first round; I played it back, and I can see what I'm doing wrong on CTB. I don't push away from the bar but rather drop straight down losing any momemtum before doing the next rep.
My goal was to get 200 or more. I think the clock stopping on Round 3 was on my side cuz I wasn't gonna stop til I got to 200... just as I was walking away from the pull up bar, Ricky yelled time. :)
Tough workout. Went downhill fast after the first round. Felt like I rested a lot. Very winded by the time it was all over.
Forgot to post yesterday: Used 340lbs for deadlift and 208lbs for clean. I was very doubtful about weight going in despite scaling. Ended up being extremely pleased with my cleans. Lots of misses but got it done. Finished in 16:08.
Don't remember the breakdown, but tried to keep it close to 15 OHS, 30 jumps, and 15 pullups. My wrist slowed down the OHS, and my weak lungs took care of the rest. Not my idea of a good time.
